I’m not going to lie, I find it frustrating when my pages aren’t “Pinterest perfect” or if something I’ve planned hasn’t turned out how I expected. I’ve had many many times when my journaling hasn’t quite gone to plan.

Here’s some things I find helpful to remember:

Time spent in the Word is valuable

Reflecting on scripture, spending time in it, memorising it and reading it is so important to our faith. I don’t know about you but I struggle with it. I struggle to concentrate, I struggle to put aside the time for it. The devil and my sinful nature often make make me prioritise other things. So your page didn’t come out perfect, so what? You’ve spent time in the Bible. What have you learnt from what you read? Something I expect.  Hearing from God is far more important that what your doodles look like.

It’s not about me it’s about Him

Bible journaling is not about glorifying me it’s not about how good I am or how pretty the pages look so I can show them of. It’s about worship, about glorifying God and about meditating on his Word.

We live in a fallen world

Nothing is perfect, not since the fall. Mistakes help me to remember this!
